Nick & Charles

Nick & Charles are a comedy forward directing team based in Los Angeles. Their combined writing, VFX, and directing skills caught the attention of Funny or Die where under the mentorship of comedy titans Adam McKay and Will Ferrell they honed their craft, delivering countless hit videos and beloved branded content. As former staff writer/directors, they helmed many of the site’s most popular projects including the legendary sketch DON CHEADLE IS CAPTAIN PLANET and the viral HUVR TECH hover board prank, each garnering tens of millions of views.

They’ve worked with iconic actors including Jim Carrey, John Goodman, the late great Robin Williams, Marion Cotillard, Gerard Butler and Charlize Theron, just to name a few. Since leaving FoD, they’ve written and directed projects for Comedy Central, ABC, Adult Swim, and IFC. Recently, Nick wrote on the film “Borat 2.” Last year, their “Small in Show” commercial film made AdAge’s Best of 2022 list. They’re known for their bombastic voice and commitment to visual filmmaking. Their out-of-the-box approach to storytelling propels them to continually push the boundaries.
